Float
Float explores the extremes of physicality within a perspective that glimpses back for significance. Exploring relevance and intention through varying degrees of nostalgia, the work expresses how the body alone cannot articulate what the mind and heart have to say. Originally created for La Mama's introductory Dance Festival in 2003, Float had it's full premiere when it was acquired into the repertory of Hubbard Street Dance Chicago in 2006 and 2008. It was invited into HS II in 2008 and has been performed internationally, most recently the Juilliard School in New York City.
